I’m remodeling my bathroom and just recently installed a new shower door with chrome handles and hardware. Does this mean I should stick with chrome for my vanity hardware, faucet, light fixtures, towel bars, etc… or can I use a different material? If so, any suggestions? My vanity is a honey red oak with either a jet black or light cream top (haven’t decided yet) and I’d like to go with a neutral wall color and add color in accessories as we will be selling soon. Any help would be appreciated!

I have a Moentrol shower faucet. Recently, the balancing spool did not work properly. I got cold water only when someone was using the shower at the other bathroom. I tried to take out the pressure balancing spool but couldn’t find a right tool to open it.
This is a link to the Moen balance spool. http://www.amazon.com/Moen-1423-Balancing-Moentrol-Single/dp/B00176BEJW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1298989305&sr=8-1
I couldn’t find a screwdriver that was big enough. What tool should I use to open it?
I recently redid my bathroom. I had the plumbing professinally done. I went to install the handles on the new faucet for the bathtub and the water is coming out luke warm. The downstair bathroom which I’m currently using gets good hot water? Why would this be? Any help would be greatly appriciated.
The tub faucet works, but no water comes out of the shower. There was a long term leak which caused a lot of mold, so i’ve pulled out most of the drywall and cabinetry that was affected (moldy). Now the plumbing for the tub/shower is exposed and i would like to repair the bathroom plumbing completely before reinstalling walls. …………is there maybe a newbie site for this sort of thing that someone can recommend. …..or perhaps even give me some idea of where to start and what to look for with this repair?

As an example, an average Philippine is taken by a foreign relative to stay at a five-star hotel. The Philippine just says it is nice, no other comments at all. The same persons children think the bathroom is on fire because of steam coming from the hot water in the shower. They have never seen hot water from a faucet. Has anyone had similar experiences, and would share them.
well, i’m going to my relative’s house next week, and they are kind of poor (no offense) [i'm flying]. So when i get there, the bathroom is the scariest place for me over their house. The shower is you have to get water form the faucet, put it in a big bucket, get a bowl/container, and rinse/ wash yourself in it. Then the toilet, is really small. Also, there are MEGA cockroaches there.
I’m 14… and i have been there before… it’s just it is so "different" from what i’m used too…

Here’s the details..My water softener messed up sending tiny little orange beeds througout the house in all of the waterlines. I was able to clear out all of the junk from the faucets and toilets, but now the showers have lost pressure. I am assuming some of that junk is in the valve in the wall? I can’t seem to take that apart. I have a single unit Delta brand in both bathrooms. Is there some kind of cartridge in there I will need to replace? Is that valve soldered into the wall or can I unscrew it somehow?
I feel like this is a stupid question, but I need a shower head for a bathroom that does not have a shower. I thought there were ones you could screw onto the faucet and it had a cord and a mount, but I can’t seem to find one that looks like it will screw into a faucet. Can this be done? What kind of shower head do I need?
